    General Rping and Site Rules

    • Read: Please read all the forum rules correctly before you perform any action on the forum. It is expected from everyone to strictly follow these rules.

    • Source: This is an AU Nanatsu no Taizai forum. It is largely and mainly based off of the Manga Nanatsu no Taizai, but beware that THINGS WILL DIFFER. We take canon things exactly like they are sometimes, but will edit them or completely create new things into this world.

    • Obey: If you do not follow these rules, you can receive completely unannounced punishment at staff's leisure.

    • Cursing: Cursing out of character is not appreciated on this forum. Graphic, vulgar and offensive content is not appreciated as well.

    • Naming: Your username (account name) has to be the same as your character's name, or a nickname of choice. So if you named your character Meliodas but your character has several nicknames, your username may be something like Mel, Melody, Meliodaz or as mentioned, just plain Meliodas. Please do not think of names such as xXNightshadow12Xx or similarly random names.

    • Advertising: Do not advertise through PMs, you will be banned immediately when doing this.

    • Alternates: Alternate characters are certainly allowed. You may have up to 5 alternate characters, each must have their own account. But, to be able to start your next character, each of your current characters must have at least 10 IC posts.

    Rping Guidelines


    • Freeform: This site is largely based on the concept of freeform rping. That doesn't mean anything goes, but anything along the lines of our rules goes. Keep that in mind when rping at ALL times.

    • English: The rping language is English. Even if you are not a native speaker or inherently bad at spelling, grammar and punctuation, we kindly ask you to do your best and also to try and improve your language skills along the way.

    • Third Person: The rping style is third person. One liners are prohibited and not appreciated, please try your best!

    • Cursing OK: While cursing is not appreciated, it can be part of your character. However, subscript, subliminal messages or indicated political extremes are forbidden if they are carried out in excess.

    • Powerplaying: Don't brag about your characters abilities or powerplay too much. It will make you enemies with me. Which is bad.

    • No Gming: Godmodding, metagaming and any sort of unfair or overpowered roleplaying may be pointed out at any time. Ask, if you are unsure of your definition of those two nogo's.

    • Label Topics: The following is not an absolute mandatory thing, but a heads up and a bid: Please be aware of consciously titling your threads to make them exactly what you want to be. The creator of the thread may largely rule over his threads. But basically: LABEL IT FOR STAFF!

    • Harmonize: Please harmonize during rping. Notice character's presences and interact with them if they want to be interacted with.

    • Posting Order: Yes, this is something mandatory. Every member in a thread should always be aware of the posting order. Breaking the posting order is not something bad, just be aware not to and in case you do, recuperate and pick it back up.

    • Inactivity Rule: In case you shall be inactive for more than  1 week, the procedure is simple. Notify the whole forum of your absence in a topic in the Introductions and Departures section (link). In case you have notified everyone, threads with you in them must be put on hold unless they incorporate three or more players or you mention that they may go on.

    • Combat Inactivity Rule: If you are inactive for 24 hours in a fight without notifying anybody, your opponent(s) may post and treat your character as if he didn't react. (this implies calling a hit on you) You have 72 hours to notify staff of your absence and reason. Until then, you can undo the hit. After 72 hours of inactivity without notification, your opponent may call his hit without you being able to undo it, and your opponent may continue posting from then on without having to wait for you. You may though notify of inactivity at any time, normal threads may be continued, battle threads however MUST be put on hold in case you have notified of your inactivity from that point on.

    The “How To Proceed”

    You want to know how to start? And you're at a point where you don't know what to do next? Here's a suggestion how to work yourself through the site.

    • READ ALL THE RULES. No kidding, this is the best thing to do. Try and do it. It may be long, and there may be information that is irrelevant to you, but for a harmonic rp world, it'd be best to read them.
    • Create your character.
    • Reread important information that you might need.
    • Apply your Skills
    • Create your Abilities and Equipment.
    • READ THE RULES AGAIN!
    • Start rping!
    • HAVE FUN. We're not even kidding. If you don't have fun you might get your account just banned. We have a fun-o-meter that controls the levels of fun you're having. If it drops below a certain level, we'll know. We're watching you o-o

    Chatbox Code Of Conduct

    Every staff should substitute these rules whatever the
    situation may be. Real life dilemma or not. Here's a draft:

    RULE 1: NO ADVERTISEMENT

    RULE 2: NO HURTFUL TROLLING OR INSULTING

    RULE 3: RESPECT STAFF. STAFF MEMBERS' DECISIONS ARE ABSOLUTE

    RULE 4: RESPECT ALL PLAYERS

    RULE 5: NO EMOTE SPAMMING

    RULE 6: NO ANNOYING STAFF WITH APPROVALS (you may of course ask them to check it politely.)

    If a member violates a rule, they will receive a warning. A warning has to be clearly outspoken. "This is a warning." If it wasn't clear, it wasn't a warning. “Please stop.” is not a warning. If a member violates a rule after being warned, a kick will follow. If a member chooses to violate the rule once more, a ban will follow.

    First offense ban: Violating the rule after a kick will result in a one hour ban
    Second offense ban: Violating the rule after a First offense ban can result in a day ban
    Third offense ban: Violating the rule after a Second offense ban can result in a week ban
    Fourth offense ban: More than four times can result in a site ban

    If staff members violate these rules, they get stripped of the staff position immediately without warnings, then get treated as a member. It may happen that staff members reclaim their position after matters of apology and realization of the wrong-doings.
