    Lot's Armor Ualcos Magesos

    Equipment

    Equipment Name: Ualcos Magesos
    Equipment Type: Armor
    Rank: Holy
    Treasure: N/A

Description:  Ualcos Magesos was with materials from a beast known as a Plain's Hawk. These enormous cerulean birds were prominent predators in ancient times, but competition for food led to their extinction. The birds were so strong that no normal people bothered to hunt them, and it's said this armor was made when 10 members of the Winslice family worked together to just barely take down one of the last specimens. Ualcos itself covers Lot's entire body to keep him disguised whenever he transforms. It's size varies due to his magic power, but when he's not wearing it, it's about 6'00'' tall and has shoulders about 1'07'' wide. It's relatively lightweight, and yet also sturdy, due to the material it was made out of. Not only that, but it's nicely insulated, as the inside is lined with feathers and down. It has an impressive white sheen, that much would be expected by something made out of feather filaments and bone, and even the plume is made out of the blue feathers of the Plain's Hawk.

Fighting Style: Lot will almost always use this armor in battle. It's unique material allows for it not to get in the way of his usual speedy and precise attacks, with the enchantments in fact enhancing it. He can use it to equal effectiveness on land or in the air, which was a conscious decision by the Winslice family as they knew it would be wise to have it be useful in both their human and fairy forms, as their magic power would allow them to don it either way. An upside to wearing this armor is that it's sturdiness allows Lot to fight more recklessly, even in his fairy form, as well as stab with his power instead of just swipe, since the opposing force will not be as strong. It also allows him to attempt blocks from time to time instead of just dodging.

    Empowered: Yes

    Ability

    Name: Hawk's Soul
    Type: Support

Description: When the creators of the armor were crafting it, they were able to use fairy magic to imbue the armor with the soul of the Plain's Hawk within the item itself. This led to the spirit being mixable with the wearer's, which ultimately meant that whoever wore this armor gained certain boosts just by it being on their body. Because of this, whoever wears this armor has a notable boost in speed in most circumstances. This can "overheat" the armor, however, and so it can't be used at all times. It doesn't have any other boosts, and for whatever reason, the increase in speed doesn't effect the impact force. No one is quite sure why this is. It is known however, that the spirit of the Plain's Hawks clearly lives on in this ability, Hawk's Soul.

Strengths: Hawk's Soul's basic ability is to improve the user's speed by half a tier for 6 posts. This is what Lot most commonly uses during battle, and is usually enough to overpower his foes. After the 6 posts however, the armor "overheats" and this ability can't be used for 2 more posts. It doesn't loose any other properties during this time though. When his opponent seems like they'll require more power to fight against, then Lot activates Hawk's Soul's "overdrive option," which raises his speed by one whole tier for 2 posts only, but then requires a 4 post cooldown. With that much speed, it's almost assured that he'll be able to take down most people below his rank.

Weaknesses: There are several downsides to both Hawk's Soul and it's "Overdrive" form. First of all, for whatever boon he receives, the first post after the duration ends, he receives the opposite. In other words, his speed drops by half a tier or one whole tier after the empowerment's effect is over, for one post only. Not only this, but the speed isn't an option. When Hawk's Soul is active, the user will always move at top speed. Because of this, this ability is ineffective, probably even detrimental when fighting in tight quarters. Thus it stay's true to it being an effect of the Plain's Hawk, as it's most effective in open areas, like a plain. Sharp turns are also hard to make at these speeds, which makes it even harder to fight indoors.

Fighting Style: Lot fights with Hawk's Soul the same way he does with the armor normally, it's just that through this he is able to move even faster, and thus have an even more efficient fighting style. Using this ability allows his usual fast paced fighting style to become more so like a blur, but the slowness afterwards is very troublesome to him. It's ability to be used an unlimited amount of times counters this well, so Lot will usually try to use the normal version of Hawk's Soul as many times as possible. As previously stated, this ability also allows him to finish small battles incredibly quickly with some well placed attacks. Overall, this ability emphasizes Lot's already impressive speed and precision.

Ready for review. The armor is my free holy item, and so I'll just be paying for the empowerment then.

Half a tier and whole tier are incredibly vague definitions. I'd just give it values that have more substance in literature. Such as "high boost to his speed" or "extreme boost to his speed". You see, tiers may determine the Power of characters as such, but if you start calculating attributes and statisticts with them, the entire system will implode because of arbitrary tier values that have no real meaning. "My character's is a tier greater than yours" "Yeah, but my character's perception is two tiers above yours". Yadda yadda, the point is, just give it more literal definitions that tier.

If you want something with a numeral substance, give it a level to your speed skill. Such as... "doubles/triples" the character's current level of speed". That would also work, imo. Other than that, great armor with a basic ability. I like it ^^

Although I need a question answered. Is this an armor for his human form or his fairy form. Or both? If the latter, then how does that work?
